She is a Fashion Designer come, merchandiser. She graduated from INIFD in 2017. Roshani is an entrepreneur, a fabric dealer under one roof of Roshani Designer studio. 1. What inspired you to open your boutique? What has kept you going?

Roshani – I like fabric sourcing a lot. People like my taste of colors my sense of fashion which always encouraged me to create new things. So, taking advantage of my choice is the people’s choice. I decided to start my own boutique where I can connect to more people and delivering my creativity to infinite. I suggest them. They like it too.

2. Any incident you want to share?

Roshani – Yeah, I have come across many incidents but I think this is very essential to tell people. A client step in my boutique with a nice piece of fabric. She already mentally prepared that I want this look from this fabric. Which disappoints me. Why Indian women are not experimental. They wear it If any celeb has worn it. We as a designer have to change the limits into infinite variations. Come on every individual has their own style lets embrace it. Whenever I stuff new fabrics in my store. I design in such a way that helps my client’s to decide better. My clients are very curious to know what is today’s look? I play with different fabrics with quirky styles. People stop by just to see my daily wear that’s awesome.

3. Have you contributed to sustainable fashion?

Roshani – Yes, I give my client’s a variation of one outfit with various styles. So that they don’t shop unnecessarily for one particular style. For example, You can convert a saree into Anarkali, Anarkali into lehenga. I am saving their wardrobe space. How to style cotton saree amazingly?

4. Does social media help you in reaching your target audience?

Roshani – Well, I would say word of mouth plays an important role in any successful advertising. I personally find it genuine. My existing clients bring new clients. Social media also helped me to reach widely. But I am most active in offline than online due to my busy schedule.

 5. Is the experience necessary for starting a label?

Roshani – No, not at all. According to me, no degree is required to follow your passion. I think a non-degree holder can start a label if she has enough craze to achieve her goals. Think wise no college guarantee a bright future it’s you only you can turn your dream into reality.

6. The fabric you like to play with?

Roshani – I like flowy material. Lightweight & smooth like georgette, chiffon, poplin, so on. Create 8 wow textures using watercolor

7. What is your goal?

Roshani – I want everybody to choose my brand over others. I am working on each and every aspect to achieve my goal. 10 Questions with ishi label

8. What type of attire do you like?

Roshani – I like Indo-western garments a lot.

9. What makes your brand stand out?

Roshani – See, anyone can buy a piece of fabric, but the right design is very important to bring the beauty of it. My label is a one-stop destination for the people of fabric buyers come customized outfit. They pick their favorite fabric from my store and I help them to transform their dream into real simple like that. All in one place.  I give them an idea of color combination, varieties, style, pattern, silhouette, etc. Which expands the thinking of one’s sense of clothing. Bollywood to K drama
