Welcome all once again. Ready for Fasvation Episode #2 voila! Glue your eyes keep scrolling down and get motivated by her journey. Today we have an amazing personality her sketches are just mind-blowing So realistic. She is a Fashion Designer and an illustrator. She graduated from Niift Mohali in 2019. Mohita currently working in a company called suvasa apparel & Home Furnishing company in Jaipur and a part-time illustrator.

1. What do you think makes a good illustrator?
Mohita – The First thing is Focus. Second is to identify your strength because there are many criteria in illustration as well, Some likes Line drawing, Detailing, Playing with the texture, Hand paints, Sketches, etc. My strength is detailing. I ‘ll make sure my work is fully detailed finished with the minute things added. Keep practicing as much as you can eventually you ll get the grip. Use the Internet wisely to take advantage of online sites, YT tutorials, etc.

2. Would you please share any of your projects?
Mohita – Well, my strength is detailing So I like ethnic garments a lot. I try to give my illustration an ethnic touch with a 3D look. So that people can recognize the outfit without seeing it virtually. I always liked to play with embroideries. In my college fashion show, I got a disco theme in which I used zipper with embroidery. I used CD’s pieces to decorate my skirt.

3. Where do you get design inspiration from?
Mohita – My inspiration sources are all Indian designers. I believe everyone has their own specialty. Which helps me to get a better output of my work. I like the sarees of Satya Paul, I like the indo-western lehenga of Manish Malhotra, I like the ethnicity of Sabyasachi and so on.

4. How do you keep yourself updated with the latest design trends?
Mohita – To be honest I solely depend on Instagram for all the updates of the design trends. Because you ‘ll get everything under one umbrella why to go somewhere else.

5. What are your favorite design tools?
Mohita – Okay, My favorite design tools are empty refills which help me to give textures, White pen, Staedtler pencils, Charcoal pencil, and Copic markers. These things are a must for me to create magic. Other things are also needed but these are my favorites.

6. When do you know the design is complete?
Mohita – This is a tricky question According to me I would never say my design is complete without a finishing touch. Till the end, I keep giving touch-ups because there is no end of completion.

8. Would you like to share any experience of your journey so far?.
Mohita – Yes, I would like to share regarding our industry assumptions that one can get good opportunities by having contacts or links. According to me, that’s not true. Your talent decides your destiny. Enhance your quality of work to improve your growth in your career. Because once you ll miss this chance there is no turning back. Keep pumping your passion with the motivation that spark is important to move forward. My advice is to work now to enjoy later.

9. If you get a chance to work abroad would you?
Mohita – Well, I do get an offer by the university to work as an illustrator in abroad. I denied it because I like to work in my home country also I think I still have a lot to learn. There is good news for fashion enthusiasts. I am conducting a workshop. Please enroll to learn the secrets of illustration.

Mohita – Live happy Let others be happy. Surround yourself with positive vibes. Don’t get disappointed easily because everything happens for a reason. Take the risk and never get satisfied. Try new things then you ‘ll realize the depth of the outcome. Learn every little thing.
